07 Nov Entrevista a James Murray de OffWorld: la Revolución de los Robots al Espacio
OffWorld está trabajando en mandar Robots con Inteligencia Artificial al Espacio para hacer Minería Espacial.
El lunes 5 de noviembre por la tarde una lluvia intensa cubría el cielo de Madrid.
Creí que el tráfico no me iba a permitir llegar a tiempo a mi cita para entrevistar a James Murray, Co Founder de OffWorld, en el Instituto de Empresa.
Imposible no llegar cuando iba a tener la oportunidad de conocer de una manera cercana a alguien extraordinario que está construyendo un mundo mejor en el Espacio y en la Tierra a través del desarrollo de Robots.
Con puntualidad británica llegaba a la hora pactada al V Garden del IE, en la calle Velázquez 130, donde me recibió y presentó Balvinder Powar, Chief Communications Officer de Booster Space Industries, experto en Tecnología y profesor del IE, a James Murray.
Hay una frase relevante que define quién es Balvinder Powar y por qué colaboran en diversos negocios él y James Murray: “Sé el cambio que quieres ver en el mundo” de Mahatma Gandhi.
No todo el mundo tiene la capacidad de transformar la realidad siendo visionario.
La interesante ponencia que os compartiré en un artículo posterior sobre “Space Minning” de Murray, prometía y mucho, pero aún más el poder tener el lujo de entrevistar a un hombre que tiene su mente viajando por el espacio.
James Murray nació en Las Bahamas y tiene ascendencia escocesa e irlandesa. Estudio en la Universidad de Bristol. Es Ingeniero de Sistemas y un hombre encantador con una mirada brillante y mucho que aportar en el Futuro.
Cuando le pregunté acerca de cuál es la misión de Offworld, me dijo que se trata de desarrollar robots trabajadores que van a recibir a la humanidad en el Espacio. Y a realizar tareas poco agradables para el hombre para facilitarles la vida y mejorar nuestra existencia. No sólo en el Espacio, sino también en nuestro Planeta Tierra.
Han descubierto además que desarrollando esta Tecnología se pueden mejorar nuestras vidas.
Hay mucho que hacer en nuestro mundo porque los recursos naturales son finitos.
Su vida profesional ha estado vinculada a naves espaciales, a motores, a cohetes. Al Espacio.
Este Ingeniero nos habla de una Civilización Industrial Humana. Y de que la capacidad de producir y de crecer, precisa Tecnología punta que desarrollar.
Esta aventura que ha emprendido con OffWorld tiene consecuencias favorables para la Tierra.
Hay que vivir de manera sostenible.
El Espacio será una parte de la solución. pero no es la única solución.
Temas como el impacto del combustible en la biosfera nos deben hacer reflexionar.
Hay que acceder a Fuentes de Energía Alternativas, no simplemente alternativas, no solo paneles solares. Hay que ir más allá.
No hay que añadir soluciones a los problemas de hoy. Tenemos la obligación de cuidar la Biosfera.
Cuando le pregunte si cree que los Robots vienen a destruir empleo, me contesto claramente que no lo cree. Vienen a realizar tareas pesadas y automáticas, tareas que en el siglo XXI el hombre no debería estar realizando, porque por ejemplo suponen un riesgo para su Salud, como ocurre en el Sector Minero.
Los Robots van a abrir otras oportunidades.
En el siglo XIX la Revolución Industrial conllevó muchas resistencias al cambio. La resistencia al cambio es inherente al hombre. Pero sin Transformación y sin hombres que quieren cambiar el mundo, no habría Evolución. Hay que dejar a un lado el temor al cambio.
Cada vez hay más personas dispuestas a pagar para invertir en desarrollar un Futuro mejor. Una vida mejor en la Tierra. Una vida más allá en el Espacio. Y en Robots. Y en Inteligencia Artificial.
Es importante también cambiar el modelo económico para que la inversión en este tipo de Tecnología resulte atractiva.
James Murray, Ingeniero, políglota, visionario, cree en que la Inteligencia Artificial tiene un gran valor añadido.

Interview with James Murray of OffWorld: The Robot Revolution in Space

OffWorld is working on sending Robots with Artificial Intelligence into Space to do Space Mining.
On Monday, November 5, an intense rain covered the sky of Madrid in the afternoon.
I thought the traffic was not going to allow me to arrive on time for my appointment to interview James Murray, Co-Founder of OffWorld, at IE (Instituto de Empresa).
Impossible not to arrive when I was going to have the opportunity to meet in a close way someone extraordinary that is building a better world in Space and Earth through the development of Robots.
With British punctuality I arrived at the time agreed to IE’s V Garden, on Velazquez Street 130, where I was received and introduced to James Murray by Balvinder Powar, Chief Communications Officer of Booster Space Industries, Technology expert and IE professor.
There is a relevant phrase by Mahatma Gandhi that defines who Balvinder Powar is and why he and James Murray collaborate in various businesses: «Be the change you want to see in the world».
Not everyone has the capacity to transform reality by being a visionary.
The interesting presentation that I will share in a later article on «Space Minning» by Murray, promised a lot, but even more, the power to have the luxury of interviewing a man who has his mind traveling through space.
James Murray was born in The Bahamas and has Scottish and Irish ancestry. He studied at the University of Bristol. He is a Systems Engineer and a charming man with a brilliant look and a lot to contribute in the Future.
When I asked him about the mission of Offworld, he told me that it is about developing worker Robots that are going to receive us in Space and to perform unpleasant tasks for man to facilitate their lives and improve our existence. Not only in Space, but also on our Planet Earth.
They have also discovered that developing this Technology can improve our lives.
There is much to do in our world because natural resources are finite.
His professional life has been linked to spaceships, engines, rockets. To space.
This Engineer tells us about a Human Industrial Civilization and that the ability to produce and grow, requires cutting-edge Technology.
This adventure that James Murray has undertaken with OffWorld has favorable consequences for the Earth.
You have to live in a sustainable way.
Space will be a part of the solution but it is not the only solution.
Issues such as the impact of fuel in the biosphere should make us think over.
We have to access Alternative Energy Sources, not just alternatives, not just solar panels. We must go further.
There is no need to add solutions to today's problems. We have the obligation to take care of the Biosphere.
When I ask him if he thinks the Robots will destroy employment, he answered me clearly that he does not believe it. They come to perform heavy and automatic tasks, tasks that in the XXI century the man should not be doing, because for example they pose a risk to humans’ health, as it happens in the Mining Sector.
The Robots are going to open other opportunities.
In the nineteenth century the Industrial Revolution brought many resistances to change. Resistance to change is inherent in man. But without Transformation and without men who want to change the world, there would be no Evolution. We must put aside the fear of change.
More and more people are willing to pay to invest in developing a better future. A better life on Earth. A life beyond in Space. And in Robots. And in Artificial Intelligence.
It is also important to change the economic model so that investment in this type of technology is attractive.
